Terms of Use
Good food. No bill drama. No small print. Last updated October 2026.
The short version
Owzi helps a table work out who owes what. It doesn't touch your money, and it doesn't ask who you are. Use it for meals with people you trust, and check the numbers before anyone pays.
What Owzi is — and isn't
Owzi is a calculator with a nice interface. It reads a receipt, holds your items and diners, and shows the maths.
It is not a bank, wallet or payment service. It never moves money, never asks for card or bank details, and has no part in how you settle up afterwards. If someone at your table doesn't pay their share, that's between you and them — Owzi can't help chase it.
Your bill, your link
Every bill is reachable by its link or QR code, with no sign-up. Anyone who has it can see the bill and change it — add items, claim dishes, add or remove diners.
Keep the link to your table. Don't post it somewhere public. What you put into a bill is yours to keep accurate, and yours to keep private.
Check the numbers
Receipt scans can get an item, a price or the tip wrong, and a blurry photo can be read badly. Everything the scan finds is editable, and the totals only count what's been claimed.
Look over the items, quantities and prices before you rely on them. Owzi shows what the maths says — you decide what you actually pay.
Keep it fair
- Don't use Owzi for anything unlawful, or to mislead the people you're splitting with.
- Only create a bill from a receipt you have a right to share.
- Don't try to break, disable, scrape or interfere with the service, or dig around in bills that aren't yours.
- It's free to use, so please don't resell access or pretend Owzi is something it isn't.
Changes
Owzi is a work in progress. Features may appear, change or disappear, and a bill may one day be removed — so save your results before you head back home.
If these terms change, the date at the top of this page gets a refresh. Keep using Owzi and you're agreeing to whatever's here.
The legal bit
Owzi is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. To the extent we can be liable at all, our responsibility is limited to the £0 you paid to use Owzi.
