Privacy Policy
Only what you owe — and only what we need. Last updated October 2026.
No accounts, ever
Owzi doesn't ask for your email, phone number, password or payment details. Anyone with a bill's link or QR code can view and edit that bill, so only share it with your table.
Receipt photos
Photos are read once to pull out items and prices, then thrown away. They are never saved by Owzi or kept by the reading service.
What we store for each bill
- Bill name, currency, tax, tip and service fee
- Items: names, quantities and prices
- Diners: the names you type, a colour, and whether they've pressed Done
- Which diner picked which item
On your phone
Your browser remembers which diner you are, your phone mode, and whether you've pressed Done for each bill. Clearing your browser data removes this.
Downloads
Result images and PDFs are made on your own device and never uploaded.
How long we keep it
Bill details are currently kept until removed. Want a bill deleted sooner? Remove its items and diners in the app, or contact us.
